It was really a wonderful visit, my Granddaughter is quick to learn & fell right into the rhythm of our little farm. Most of the week she learned how we take care of the animals, safety with the goats & she was able to go as often as she wanted to see the goats.
She held her little bunny (no name yet) as often as she wanted. Papa kept asking if her bunny still had some fur left. LOL. Abbie would just laugh & smile.
We got lots of laughs & smiles all week. Was so nice to get hugs, share information about the animals, answer questions & teacher somethings. Yes, she taught us some too. Just loved having her here.
Sunday the 29 of June we were able to take our grand kids Brandon 18, Matt 9 & Abbie 8 to visit Ellensburg, had lots of fun. Abbie fell in love with Uncle Hugh & Aunt Willie. The asked her if she would like to come stay with them for a week, also an open invitation to stay longer or come back anytime. They are both retired on their 20 acre farm in Ellensburg.
Got up early Sunday July 5, last day of our vacation & last day of Abbie's stay with us. It is an 3 hour drive, got out of the house later than I wanted. Papa & Abbie were having fun with the fireworks last night, they got to bed late. The important thing was Abbie & Papa had fun together. Met my brother & sister in law 1/2 way in Naches. Had lunch, visited then came the time to leave. We all did great no tears.
Abbie was so excited about staying with them. I know a lot had to do with the 2 week old calf.
Last Friday the 3, she has spent most of the day with some of our farm books reading. Asked her what she was doing? She was coping this one point about " How not to spoil your calf" so she can help Uncle Hugh with the new calf while she is there. It took her about 2 hrs but she got it all copied & took it with her. Quite a kid.

You are having loads of quality time with the grandchildren. I remember my grandparents too. They lived in another state about 200 km away. As soon as the hols started, my grandma would send a taxi to pick me up. I shared the cab with another 3 passengers (different people each time) and they were always amazed that a six year old would travel on her own. I sat in the cab and not say anything till I reached Popoh's house.I stayed with my grandparents for the entire 2 months of my hols in Nov and 2 weeks in April and August. My grandpa (gong-gong)would put me behind on his bicycle and take me to the village shops where he had coffee with his friends. He always poured the hot coffee onto the saucer and asked me to blow on it to cool it - I drank my coffee straight from the saucer. I did that till popoh passed away when I was 12 years old.
Grandparents are the greatest gift from God cos nobody spoils us as much.
